JUNE TALKS and PIGEON RELEASE BIG SUCCESS!

June was a busy month with two talks based on WAR PIGEONS: Winged Couriers in the U.S. Military, 1878-1957. One was at the Wright World War II museum in Wolfeboro, NH, attended by a full house of military history enthusiasts.

The other was on June 22 at the Windham Public Library, Windham, ME and involved partner, Jon Bernhard and his homing pigeons, which he released at the end of the talk. Librarian Ray Marcotte had this to say: “Elizabeth and Jon’s program was fantastic. Highly recommended. Educational and fascinating for all ages.”

These photos of the pigeon release given by delighted children speak for themselves.
