MORE WAR PIGEONS TALKS THIS FALL

Fall 2022 has been busy with talks about the extraordinary homing pigeons that served alongside American servicemen and women. In September I gave talks at two historical societies, one with live birds. Here’s what Lorraine Glidden, Secretary of the Westbrook (ME) Historical Society said about the September 10 event:

“Both members of the Historical Society and the public absolutely loved the program. One member said this was the best program the society’s ever had!”

And this from the Buxton Hollis Historical Society: “The Buxton Hollis Historical Society tries to seek out program that will be of interest to the public and are also unusual. Your presentation certainly ticks the boxes on both counts!” Nancy Pierce, Librarian

Four more live talks are scheduled, focused around Veteran’s Day. You can get more information at the specific libraries. Don’t miss out on learning about these honorable feathered veterans.
